BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S  (dir: Blake Edwards, Not Rated ) - Michelle says, "I hate tragically beautiful New York girls, but Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly is a force of nature not to be denied. When she nibbles pastry on a deserted, early morning 5th Avenue, or sings the sweet, melancholy 'Moon River' on her fire escape, or calls her anxiety attacks the 'mean reds,' you will wish you were half as screwed up as she is. The real gatekeeper here is Mickey Rooney’s embarrassing performance as the buck-toothed Chinese neighbor. Get past that, and you can guiltlessly indulge in this romanticized adaptation of Truman Capote’s novella."
VIRIDIANA (dir: Luis Buñuel, Not Rated) - Bart  says. "This is probably my favorite Buñuel - at the very least my favorite of his 'middle period' between his exaggerated Mexican melodramas and his stream-of-consciousness French comedies. Set in his native Spain, it's the story of a beautiful nun-to-be who pays one last visit to her family before taking her final vows. What follows is a brilliant indictment of hypocritical Christian morality, outdated societal conventions, and the general inhumanity of humanity. Blasphemous, hilarious and surreal - everything you want from a Buñuel film - but with a good story to boot.
