NEW MOVIES!  JUNE 27 - JULY 3, 2017

Saban's POWER RANGERS (USA, PG-13) - Attention, fans of BREAKING BAD! You're going to love the new Bryan Cranston movie!
DIRECTED BY: Dean Israelite
STARRING: Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks
METASCORE: 44, based on 30 Critics
CHIPS (USA, R) - I keep thinking there must be some reason to not hate Dax Shepard. Kristen Bell loves him enough to be to married to him, after all. I guess he was pretty good on PARENTHOOD.
DIRECTED BY: Dax Shepard
STARRING: Dax Shepard, Michael Peña, Rosa Salazar, Adam Brody, Vincent D'Onofrio, Kristen Bell
METASCORE: 28, based on 26 Critics
^T2 TRAINSPOTTING (UK, R) - All your favorite heroin addicts are back for more depressing good times in Scotland. Choose life. Choose a movie. Choose physical media.
DIRECTED BY: Danny Boyle
STARRING: Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, Kelly Macdonald
METASCORE: 67, based on 42 Critics
THE BELKO EXPERIMENT (USA, R) - The latest in wish fulfillment fantasy horror cinema is this entertaining excuse for killing everybody who works in your office building. Happy Stapler Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.
DIRECTED BY: Greg McLean
STARRING: John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn, Adria Arjona, Melonie Diaz
METASCORE: 44, based on 21 Critics
*WILSON (USA, R) - Who doesn't love GHOST WORLD? This movie is also based on a Daniel Clowes comic book, but nobody seems to love it much. On the plus side: Laura Dern!
DIRECTED BY: Craig Johnson
STARRING: Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Isabella Amara, Judy Greer, Cheryl Hines
METASCORE: 49, based on 34 Critics
HELI (Mexican, Not Rated) - The Mexican cartels are real jerks and all the cops are on the payroll! Even worse is when your 12-year-old sister is having an affair with a young police cadet and gets mixed up in the middle of all the drug war violence.
DIRECTED BY: Amat Escalante
STARRING: Armando Espitia, Andrea Vergara, Linda González, Juan Eduardo Palacios
METASCORE: 59, based on 20 Critics
BERLIN SYNDROME (Australia, R) - An Australian photographer who's a little bit lost in life goes to Berlin to shoot the GDR architecture. Instead she gets abducted and imprisoned in a creep's apartment. I think it's both terrifying and a metaphor of some sort.
DIRECTED BY: Cate Shortland
STARRING: Teresa Palmer, Max Riemelt
METASCORE: 70, based on 17 Critics
PET (USA, R) - Our second abduction/imprisonment movie of the week stars the hobbit who played Merry or Pippin as the creepy kidnapper, so how scary can it be?
DIRECTED BY: Carles Torrens
STARRING: Dominic Monaghan, Ksenia Solo, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Parsons
METASCORE: 48, based on 8 Critics
CORRESPONDENCE (Italy, Not Rated) - Olga Kurylenko is a very pretty actor who can't act so she's lucky to have a career at all. Watch her get kissy with Jeremy Irons, a formerly great actor who's also lucky to get work lately, and try to forget how he's more than 30 years her senior.
DIRECTED BY: Giuseppe Tornatore
STARRING: Jeremy Irons, Olga Kurylenko, Shauna Macdonald
METASCORE: 33, based on 3 Critics
