NEW MOVIES!  MARCH 14 - MARCH 20, 2017

PASSENGERS (USA, PG-13) - A spaceship full of cryogenically frozen people is headed for a distant planet. Everything is going according to plan except two of the passengers just woke up. They are 90 years early to rise from their freezie nap and are the only people each other will have for company for the next nine decades until they land or die.
DIRECTED BY: Morten Tyldum
STARRING: Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, Andy García
METASCORE: 41, based 48 Critics
COLLATERAL BEAUTY (USA, PG-13) - Something tragic has happened in Harold's life. He can't even handle it so he begins writing letters to Love, Time & Death in search of answers. When he actually receives answers, he begins to see the bigger picture and the interconnectedness of everything.
DIRECTED BY: David Frankel
STARRING: Will Smith, Edward Norton, Keira Knightley, Michael Peña, Naomie Harris, Jacob Latimore, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren
METASCORE: 23, based 40 Critics
FENCES (USA, PG-13) - Troy, an African-American family man living in 1950s Pittsburg, always wanted to be a basketball player. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't until he was deemed too old that the NBA started accepting more than just white folks on the teams. Now he's just livin’ life, trying to make ends meet and give his family a good life.
DIRECTED BY: Denzel Washington
STARRING: Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Stephen Henderson, Jovan Adepo, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, Saniyya Sidney
METASCORE: 79, based 48 Critics

ELLE (France, R) - Elle is a successful businesswoman who, after being sexually assaulted in her home, doesn’t report it to the police, but seeks out the man responsible herself. She buys some protection and befriends her neighbors. Then the man breaks in again and he's not who she expected.
DIRECTED BY: Paul Verhoeven
STARRING: Isabelle Huppert, Christian Berkel, Anne Consigny, Virginie Efira, Laurent Lafitte, Charles Berling
METASCORE: 89, based 36 Critics
KATE PLAYS CHRISTINE (USA, Not Rated) - Kate is an actress who's going to be portraying Christine Chubbuck, and this is a documentary about her preparing for the role. If you haven't been keeping up with recent flicks, CHRISTINE came out not too long ago about the news reporter woman who shot herself during a live broadcast. This film has nothing to do with that one.
DIRECTED BY: Robert Greene
STARRING: Kate Lyn Sheil
METASCORE: 75, based 19 Critics
^BEING 17 (France, Not Rated) - Damien lives with his mother while his father is abroad. His mother invites another boy to come live with them because his mother is ill. The only problem is that this kid is a bully and it's gonna suck to live with him – that is, until the sexy tingles start happening.
DIRECTED BY: Andre Techine
STARRING: Sandrine Kiberlain, Kacey Mottet Klein, Corentin Fila, Alexis Loret
METASCORE: 83, based 16 Critics
*GIRL ASLEEP (Australia, Not Rated) - Greta is turning 15 and that's scary because she's not really a kid anymore and she doesn't have many friends. When her parents throw her a surprise party, reality suddenly flips and she enters a world that is a bit dangerous, over-the-top, and sexual - so pretty much kinda like being in the mind of a normal teenager.
DIRECTED BY: Rosemary Myers
STARRING: Bethany Whitmore, Harrison Feldman, Imogen Archer, Tilda Cobham-Hervey
METASCORE: 67, based 12 Critics
SOLACE (USA, R) - Clancy is a psychic doctor who is asked to help Joe, an FBI agent, track down a serial killer. The only problem is that the serial killer seems to always be steps ahead of them and still pretty murdery. The script was written as a sequel to SE7EN, but that never panned out so it became this movie.
DIRECTED BY: Afonso Poyart
STARRING: Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Abbie Cornish
METASCORE: 36, based 12 Critics
TANNA (Australia / Vanuatu, Not Rated) - This is the story of a remote tribe of people living in the Pacific. Their island is covered in rainforest and there is an active volcano in the middle of it. This is a tale of loyalty, forbidden love and life.
DIRECTED BY: Martin Butler / Bentley Dean
STARRING: Marie Wawa, Mungau Dain
METASCORE: 75, based 11 Critics

ACCIDENTAL COURTESY: DARYL DAVIS, RACE & AMERICA (USA, Not Rated) - Daryl is a successful black musician who’s traveled all over. His other hobbies include befriending members of the KKK in the hopes of getting them to leave the Klan. When they do, he keeps their robes and whatnot and hopes to one day open a museum.
DIRECTED BY: Matthew Ornstein
METASCORE: 63, based 7 Critics
